Graduated from New Liskard High School in June 1935.

Originally employed Aug. 20, 1935 by Canadian International Paper Company (CIP).

Continuous service began Dec. 21, 1937.

Graduated on June 11, 1943 with distinction from the Forest Ranger program at Duchesnay Forestry School (founded in 1935 just west of Fossambault-sur-le-Lac, Quebec).

Began Canadian Army Service at Camp Borden March 8, 1945.

Pre-marriage Baptism as Roman Catholic in Barrie, 19 June, 1946.

End Canadian Army Service at Camp Borden July 23, 1946.

Married in Penetanguishene, 30 October, 1946. Then moved into a log house provided by the CIP at the Chouart Depot In Abitibi, Quebec

His first son, Brian, was born 31 July, 1947 in Midland, ON while he was attending Forestry School in Duchesnay, QC

After successfully completing the Logging Instructors course at Duchesnay Forestry School on Aug. 16, 1947 he went to join with his wife and newborn son.

On their way back to Chouart Depot, he stopped in New Liskard where he had to force his way past other family members that objected to him showing the first grandson bearing the Moore family name to his father, who was dying of Colon Cancer.

He worked as Assistant Superintendent at Chouart Depot until summer of 1954, when he was transfered to become CIP Village Foreman in Clova, Abitibi, Quebec until July 31, 1958.

When CIP Clova operations were being shut down in 1958, he was transferred to CIP operations in Maniwaki,Quebec.

While driving a CIP pickup, that had a broken seat, through a road washout In the mid 1960’s he suffered a lower back injury that never healed properly.

Due to the walking requirements of a CIP Pulpwood Scaler and Emphysema (caused by a lifetime of smoking) he was forced into early retirement in August of 1980.
