Hunter and Trapper. In 1822 built shanty and storehouse to form trading post at junction of the Rouge River and Bevan’s Creek, which is the outlet of Bevan’s Lake. Arundel’s first settler was William Thomson from Glasgow, Scotland, who arrived there in March of 1856.
